I’m Fay — a Korean-American illustrator drawn to the small moments that make up everyday life. Whether it’s a daily routine or a quirky slice of life, I enjoy capturing these scenes through playful, character-driven illustrations. I work mainly in pen & ink and watercolor but also gouache and digital.

Over the years I’ve worn a lot of creative hats — working as a designer in advertising, branding, UX, to owning a skate shop. Alongside my work, I’ve also raised two wonderful daughters.

I received my BA in Ethnic Studies and Visual Arts from Brown University and my MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts. I’ve lived in New York City and Los Angeles before coming back to my hometown of San Diego.

I’m an active member of SCBWI and recipient of the 2025 SoCal Fall Harvest Festival Picture Book Dummy Award and the 2026 San Diego chapter's artist DEI Grant.
