I’m Fay — a Korean-American illustrator drawn to the small moments that make up everyday life. Whether it’s a daily routine or a quirky slice of life, I enjoy capturing these scenes through playful, character-driven illustrations. I work mainly in pen & ink and watercolor but also gouache and digital.
Over the years I’ve worn a lot of creative hats — working as a designer in advertising, branding, UX, to co-owning a skate shop. Alongside my work, I’ve also raised two wonderful daughters.
I received my BA in Ethnic Studies and Visual Arts from Brown University and my MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts. I’ve lived in New York City, Los Angeles, and now call San Diego home. I’m an active member of SCBWI.
